Open, please? - Learn from it
When you have a house full of 8 year old boys who keep handing you cans and saying, "will you open this please?", really look at the can. Don't just notice the color and assume it is an Orange Crush. When the husband comes home and asks "what happened to my case of Live Wire's?" do not call the parents and try to explain what happened, especially if they have a "no caffeine" rule. Just pretend the whole thing never happened. If they call you out on it, play dumb. "Huh, that really is odd that your kids haven't slept in 24 hours. Mine have been sleeping like babies...."

Also, Hate It
Sarah Palin's frequent use of the word "also". This is also something that gets on my last nerve. And also, I hate it.
Lose Anything and Everything
I have an annoying habit of losing everything. I probably spend 5 hours a week looking for my keys, cell phone, debit card or one of the kids. Sometimes I get on my last nerve.

The Twilight Series - Love It
It took me a while to get on the Twilight bandwagon. For a while I refused to read the books - I told my cousin at least a hundred times I DO NOT LIKE VAMPIRE BOOKS. I finally broke down and bought the first one on a Saturday about a month ago. I read the whole freaking series in 4 days! I Love The Twilight Series!
Cartoon Network at Night - Learn From It
For parents out there who are not aware, The Cartoon Network does not show kid shows at night. It took about a year for me to figure this one out. I happened to walk into the bedroom late one night when my 6 year old son was watching TV. I did a double take when I heard voices that sounded like Scooby and Shaggy talking about certain aspects of physical relationships that are not appropriate for children. I called my brother, who is much younger and cooler than me. Well, Parker, haven't you seen the little thing at the bottom of the screen that says "adult swim". "Well, yeah. What does that mean?" "Adult swim - all kids get out of the pool". Oooohhhh, I didn't get that one. Went right over my head. So, every night when I tell the kiddo it's time to go to bed, record the TV show and watch it after school, that is what he is watching? Oh, so maybe that is where all of the questions have been coming from. So, Cartoon Network - good during the day. Bad at night. Got it. Lesson Learned.
Fix My Socks - Hate It
I don't understand the deal with my kids and socks. I wish I had a dollar (or a hug) for every time the phrase "my socks feel weird" was yelled, said, or wined. The socks must be perfect. No creases under the feet, the seam perfectly aligned on the toes. It drives me crazy!!!!!
Do I have weirdo kids, or is this normal?
